About J Salma

J Salma was born from a spark a mother-daughter dream stitched with love, heritage, and imagination.

It all started with my daughter’s deep love for traditional thobes. She was fascinated by the intricate Palestinian embroidery the colors, the patterns, the stories each stitch told. But more than anything, she wanted something unique. One day, she turned to me and asked, “Mama, why don’t we make our own?”

That simple question sparked a journey.

Together, we began to imagine thobes that celebrated our roots while embracing a modern spirit. We dreamed of designs that honored tradition, but felt fresh, bold, and personal thobes that speak to identity, pride, and individuality.

And so, J Salma was born.

Our pieces blend timeless tatreez with contemporary touches, bringing heritage into today’s world with elegance and intention. Every thread carries a story of culture, craftsmanship, and connection. We are inspired by the women before us, and by the new generation reimagining what it means to wear their roots with pride.
